‘Healthy Women – Empowered Families’ Campaign Sets Record in Rajasthan: Over 37 Lakh People Receive Free Health Services in Six Days
Jaipur Sept 2025: Under the nationwide initiative launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the ‘Healthy Women – Empowered Families’ campaign is providing free health services to millions. In Rajasthan, the campaign is being implemented under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma and Health Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khimsar, benefiting citizens across the state. In just six days, over 37 lakh people have availed themselves of free health services through these camps.
Health Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khimsar stated that the campaign aims to ensure easy access to healthcare, provide disease screening, treatment, and counseling services locally. Special focus is being given to maternal and child health to ensure that women and future generations remain healthy and safe. Rajasthan has achieved significant success under this initiative.
Massive Reach of Camps:
Principal Secretary of Health, Smt. Rathore, reported that from 17 to 22 September, 1,08,534 screening and specialized health camps were conducted, including 6,952 expert medical camps. In total, 37,54,295 men and women benefited from free health and counseling services, including 19,80,156 women. Additionally, 618 blood donation camps collected 38,901 units of blood.
Maternal & Child Care, Screening for Anemia and TB:
2,36,461 pregnant women received antenatal care, 13,80,939 people were screened for anemia, 4,33,780 essential vaccine doses were administered to children, and 7,92,955 people were screened for TB. Non-communicable disease screening included high blood pressure in 8,15,217 women and 7,37,849 men, and diabetes screening for 7,51,889 women and 6,76,058 men.
Sickle Cell Screening and Advisory Services:
43,538 people were screened for sickle cell disease, with 20,264 cards issued. Around 16,10,972 people received guidance on various government health programs, and 31,823 beneficiaries received cards under the Prime Minister’s Jan Arogya Yojana and Vay Vandana Scheme.
Services Available at the Camps:
The camps offer free health check-ups, treatment, and counseling for women, adolescents, and children. Services include screening for hypertension, diabetes, cancers (oral, breast, cervical), anemia, TB, and sickle cell disease, along with the issuance of SCD cards. Maternal and child care includes distribution of MCP cards, pre- and post-natal checkups, child immunization, and nutrition and menstrual health sessions for women and adolescent girls. Nutrition counseling and health awareness sessions, along with Nikshay Mitra enrollment campaigns, are also being conducted.
