Minister Pankaja Munde Inspects Flood-Damaged Crops in Beed District

Beed, Sept 2025 : Heavy rainfall in Beed district caused flooding of the Sindphana River, submerging large areas of farmland and resulting in extensive crop damage. Against this backdrop, the State Minister for Environment and Animal Husbandry, Pankaja Munde, today inspected flood-affected crops in Dhondrai and Hirapur villages in Gevrai taluka.

During her visit, Minister Munde interacted with the farmers and assured them that immediate assistance would be provided. She noted that damage assessments for the affected areas are already underway, but the government has begun delivering relief to flood-affected citizens and farmers without delay. She emphasized that the government stands firmly with its citizens, and there is no need for anyone to worry. Assistance will be provided as quickly as possible based on the damage assessments conducted for the affected crops.

Minister Munde also instructed the administration to carry out damage assessments even in areas where rainfall was below 65 mm, although areas receiving more than 65 mm of rain are officially declared as having experienced excessive rainfall.

The inspection was attended by MLA Vijaysingh Pandit, District Collector Vivek Johnson, Sub-Divisional Officer Kavita Jadhav, Tehsildar Chandrakant Shelke, Mandal officials, Talathi, and local residents of Dhondrai and Hirapur villages.
