In just three days, a dozen missing people found their families and thanked the police
Lucknow, Sept 2025 : Under the Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign being run across the state by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in the last three days 12 (missing, lost) children, girls, and women were recovered. All were handed over by police to their relatives, after which their happiness knew no bounds.
Families’ faces lit up when lost children were found
DGP Rajeev Krishna said that under the instructions of CM Yogi, Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign is being run across the state. Under this, search operations were conducted for recovery of missing people. He said that during the campaign, in Lucknow’s Jankipuram, a 3-year-old girl was handed over to her family. Similarly, in Amroha’s Gajraula police station, one boy; in Bareilly’s Bhamaura village Kheda under the police station, a 6-year-old girl; in Balrampur’s Rehra Bazar police station, a lost girl; from Pilibhit police station’s Kashiram Colony, one missing daughter; and in Moradabad’s Nagfani police station, during patrol the police team found a missing boy near Ramlila ground. The boy was handed over to his relatives.
Three minor girls in Mau handed over to their families
The DGP said that under Bareilly’s Hafizganj police station, an elderly woman, Gulshan, and under Sant Kabir Nagar’s Dhanghata police station, victim Gyanti Devi wife of Rahul Rao, in a situation of stress over domestic disputes and financial transactions, went from her home with her little daughter to Vidharghat bridge. The victim left the daughter on the bridge and attempted to jump into the river. Police persuaded her, stopped her from jumping into the river, took her safely to the outpost, and handed over the victim and her daughter to their relatives. In Ballia’s Bansdih Road police station, two minor girls, angry with their family, left home without informing and were recovered and safely handed over to their relatives. In Basti, at the women’s police station, Inspector-in-Charge Dr. Shalini Singh found a woman wandering at the railway station in a suspicious condition. The woman was handed over to her relatives. Under Maharajganj’s Kotwali police station, two daughters aged 5 and 10 years, and under Mau’s Doharighat police station, three minor girls were handed over to their relatives.
