Literature Fest and Award Ceremony Held at Dayanand College: Positive Competition Enhances Personality – Assembly Speaker
Jaipur, Sept 2025 : On Friday, Dayanand College hosted the third Literature Fest and award distribution ceremony, with Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani attending as the chief guest.
Shri Devnani emphasized that competitions not only provide students an opportunity to showcase their talents but also foster a spirit of positive competition. He noted that in any contest, no one truly loses—one participant may be awarded while another learns and progresses. This process strengthens individuals through every life experience. He added that initial nervousness during debates and speech competitions gradually transforms into self-confidence and leadership skills.
Highlighting the importance of literature, Shri Devnani said that literature colors life and poetry expresses the waves of the mind as pearls of words. He encouraged students to study English literature while also promoting Indian values and Sanatan culture. Students should always move forward with a “nation first” mindset and take pride in their culture.
Remembering Swami Dayanand Saraswati, founder of the Arya Samaj, Shri Devnani said he contributed to the country’s independence and strengthened India by promoting the message of adopting indigenous practices. Today, India is making a global mark, and the country’s youth will play a key role in realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047.
Principal Dr. Lakshmikant Sharma informed that the Dayanand Literature Fest began in 2018. Originally a biennial event, it will now be held annually. Around 250 students from approximately 35 educational institutions participated in various competitions during the fest.
