Planned Efforts for Development and Welfare: CM Dr. Yadav

Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that the state government is working systematically to ensure the welfare of the underprivileged and promote inclusive development. There will be no shortage of funds to improve the lives of the people and the welfare of farmers. The world is witnessing India’s strength. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, new records are being set in every field of development. CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of the Hinauta irrigation project, Jajpon Rehabilitation Colony, and various construction works held on Saturday in Kurwai, Vidisha district. He announced development projects worth ₹258 crore for Kurwai and Vidisha.

The Chief Minister performed Bhoomi Poojan for 46 development projects worth ₹92.70 crore and inaugurated 34 projects totaling ₹165 crore, including the significant Hinauta Dam project valued at ₹7.36 crore.

Accomplishes Commitment to Farmers

CM Dr. Yadav stated that the government is committed to farmers’ welfare. Following discussions with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the state implemented the Price Difference Scheme. This year, soybean farmers will receive ₹5,328 per quintal as price support, with the difference credited directly to their bank accounts within 15 days. A survey will be conducted for crop damage in Vidisha district, and affected farmers will receive relief and insurance benefits. The Chief Minister assured that irrigation facilities will not be compromised, with water supply ensured through the Ken-Betwa link project for both irrigation and industry.

Gift for Ladli-Bahnas on Bhai-Dooj

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that under the Ladli Bahna scheme, ₹1,500 will be disbursed to ‘Ladli-Bahnas’ after Diwali on Bhai-Dooj. The state government is also committed to providing quality education by supplying scooters, free textbooks, bicycles, scholarships and hostel facilities. Sandeepani schools in the state are becoming better. CM Dr. Yadav cited Lord Krishna’s friendship with Sudama as a lesson in friendship beyond social class and highlighted efforts to develop pilgrimage sites associated with ‘Krishna-leelas’.

Promote Swadeshi Products

CM Dr. Yadav encouraged the use of indigenous products, quoting Prime Minister Modi’s call to support Swadeshi goods. GST reductions have made many items more affordable. The state is currently observing Road Safety Week. To save lives of accident victims, the government has introduced the Rahveer scheme providing ₹25,000 as incentive to responsible citizens. Advanced airlift facilities are also being provided for high-level treatment of critically ill patients.

Engagement with Local Intellectuals and Welfare Distribution

CM Dr. Yadav interacted with local intellectuals, seeking suggestions on village development topics. During the program, beneficiaries received benefits and appointment letters under the National Food Security Act, Farmer Welfare Scheme, and Women and Child Development programs. The Chief Minister inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp and performing Kanya Puja. He also visited various development exhibition stalls and participated in a roadshow, where he was warmly welcomed by enthusiastic locals.

The event was attended by Vidisha district in-charge Minister Lakhan Singh Patel, MP Dr. Lata Wankhede, MLAs Hari Singh Sapre, Suryaprakash Meena, Hari Singh Raghuvanshi, Umakant Sharma, Mukesh Tandon, other representatives and a large public gathering.

  • A new college is to be opened in Pathari.
  • Upgrade of Kurwai Community Health Center to a 50-bed hospital.
  • Development of an industrial area for auxiliary products of Bina Refinery.
  • New 50-bed hostels to open in Kurwai, Latteri, and Nateran.
  • Construction of Janpad Panchayat buildings worth ₹10 crore each in Kurwai and Vidisha.
  • High school buildings to be constructed in Sironj and other locations at a cost of ₹6 crore.
  • Sandeepani School and Critical Care Hospital to be established in Latteri and Gyarsapur with a budget of ₹87 crore.
  • Construction and beautification of the riverfront on the Betwa River in Kurwai.
  • Road construction from Udaipur Shri Ganesh temple to Kulhar.
  • Necessary works to develop the Neelkantheshwar corridor in Udaipur.
