Quick Take

If you walk into the cinema looking for entertainment, a few laughs, and some courtroom drama with a pinch of social issues, Jolly LLB 3 will not disappoint. The two Jollys – Akshay Kumar (Kanpur) and Arshad Warsi (Meerut) – face off in Delhi, while the ever-reliable Saurabh Shukla keeps the courtroom chaos grounded.

It’s a fun ride, but yes, a tighter edit and faster first half could have made it even better.

Storyline in Simple Words

The movie kicks off in Bikaner, with a farmer fighting to save his ancestral land – the last bit of pride left in his family. This brings in themes of farmer suicides and rural struggles. Soon, the focus shifts to Delhi, where Akshay and Arshad battle each other in the courtroom, stealing cases and egos clashing at every turn.

Caught in between? Judge Sunder Lal Tripathi (Saurabh Shukla), who becomes the punching bag for their constant fights. The film mixes humor with serious issues, slowly building into a reminder about why justice matters in ordinary lives.

Performances That Stand Out

  • Akshay Kumar & Arshad Warsi: Their banter is fun to watch, though some scenes feel stretched.
  • Saurabh Shukla: The real star! His comic timing and emotional depth steal the show once again.
  • Gajraj Rao: Plays his part with subtle menace.
  • Ram Kapoor: A strong monologue leaves an impression.
  • Seema Biswas: Just one emotional howl, and you’ll feel her pain.
  • Shilpa Shukla: A fresh surprise in the middle of all the intensity.

The rest of the cast, including Huma Qureshi and Amrita Rao, do their jobs well and add balance.

What Works

✅ Great performances, especially Saurabh Shukla
✅ Mix of humor and serious social issues
✅ Engaging courtroom clashes
✅ Some dialogues hit hard and stay with you

What Doesn’t

❌ Editing could’ve been tighter (the first half drags a bit)
❌ A few predictable turns in the story
❌ Slightly long at 2 hours 37 minutes

Final Word

Jolly LLB 3 is a good watch if you enjoy courtroom comedies with a social message tucked inside. It’s funny, it’s emotional, and it’s got Akshay vs Arshad giving you plenty of moments to cheer for. But don’t expect perfection—the film could have been shorter and sharper.

Verdict: Watch it for the performances, especially Judge Tripathi (Saurabh Shukla).

A solid 3.5/5 from Team Maverick.
