State Minister for Industry and Commerce Attends Closing Ceremony, Hundreds of People Gather
Jaipur, Sept 2025 : During the closing ceremony of the Malani Festival in Barmer, artists mesmerized the audience with outstanding cultural performances. The town of Kiradu, often referred to as the “Khajuraho of Rajasthan,” became a major attraction for the public.
On the occasion, State Minister for Industry and Commerce, Shri K.K. Vishnoi, stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma have taken several steps to promote tourism while preserving cultural heritage. Vishnoi said that the Malani Festival is an innovative initiative to safeguard the cultural heritage of Barmer, a border district.
He added that at a unique location like Kiradu, folk artists and ancient cultural traditions were showcased at the Malani Festival, organized under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and with the determination of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari. Kiradu, he noted, is a historic site that was once connected to trade routes from foreign lands. Thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts, ancient heritage sculptures have been brought back to India from abroad.
Cultural programs were organized in Kiradu by the Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Akademi, which not only promoted key historical sites but also encouraged artists.
The closing ceremony of the Malani Festival was attended by Chouhtan MLA Shri Aduram Meghwal, Barmer MLA Dr. Priyanka Chaudhary, Barmer District Collector Tina Dabi, CEO Shri Ravi Kumar, along with various public representatives, departmental officials, and members of the public.
