Maharashtra Pollution Control Board donates ₹1 crore cheque to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for flood victims

Cheque handed over by Minister Pankaja Munde and Chairman Siddhesh Kadam

Mumbai, Oct 2025 : Due to excessive rainfall across the state, lakhs of hectares of farmland have been damaged. To provide help to the farmer brothers in this situation, the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board gave a cheque of ₹1 crore to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for the aid of flood victims. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and Minister for Environment and Climate Change Pankaja Munde were present.

Chairman of the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, Siddhesh Kadam, handed over the cheque of ₹1 crore to Chief Minister Fadnavis at the Mantralaya.

Due to heavy rains and floods in the state, farmers in many areas including Marathwada have suffered major losses. Because of the heavy rains and floods, farmer brothers are facing a severe financial crisis. Therefore, many organisations from across the state have started extending help. To contribute to the financial assistance during this crisis and to stand with the farmers in their grief while providing them with maximum support, the Pollution Control Board decided to give ₹1 crore as aid.

After the Cabinet meeting, Minister Pankaja Munde and Board Chairman Siddhesh Kadam handed over a cheque of ₹1 crore to Chief Minister Fadnavis for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
