Andhra Pradesh Invites Global Investors at CII Roadshow, Promises Trillion-Dollar Growth and Tech Innovation

Amaravati, Oct 2025: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Human Resource Development, IT, Electronics & Communication, Nara Lokesh, on Sunday invited investors and global business leaders to participate in the 30th CII Partnership Summit, scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam on November 14-15. Speaking at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) roadshow in Mumbai, the minister emphasized that Andhra Pradesh presents an unparalleled opportunity for investment, innovation, and economic growth.

Addressing a gathering of top executives and industry stakeholders, Minister Lokesh highlighted the competitive spirit of the state. “We love competition. Competitive federalism is very important for our nation; it makes us stronger and more alert,” he said, underlining the state’s commitment to creating a business-friendly ecosystem that fosters rapid industrial and technological development.

Describing Visakhapatnam as a city that combines Bengaluru’s innovation with Goa’s charm, Lokesh showcased Andhra Pradesh’s ambitious vision. He spoke about the state’s “trillion-dollar economic corridor” and highlighted Amaravati as a greenfield capital city being developed with the same innovative spirit that transformed Cyberabad. The minister also announced the establishment of South Asia’s first 158-qubit quantum computer in Amaravati, calling it a major step toward building a comprehensive ecosystem for cutting-edge technology and innovation.

Minister Lokesh stressed the state’s industrial strategy, noting that Andhra Pradesh is not limiting itself to a single sector. “With our long coastline and diverse geography, we are pushing for decentralized development across multiple sectors,” he said. This includes ports and logistics, industrial infrastructure, electronics, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, and real estate.

The Mumbai roadshow included one-on-one discussions with leaders of several global companies. During these intensive sessions, the minister highlighted the state’s investor-friendly policies, ready-to-launch projects, and collaboration opportunities in emerging and high-growth sectors.

Among the key proposals, Minister Lokesh invited a private firm to invest in cold storage and export infrastructure, explore commodity trading desks at Vizag, and establish an LNG regasification terminal at either Kakinada or Vizag to support gas-based power projects. He also encouraged another group to partner with the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) to develop mega industrial parks under the Plug & Play Industrial Parks Policy 4.0, and to establish 3–5 large logistics hubs near AP ports, including multimodal centers at Vizag and Kakinada.

Lokesh also engaged with a leading real estate group, inviting them to develop a luxury township in Visakhapatnam to leverage the city’s rapid IT expansion and data center growth. Additionally, he urged another firm to revive Andhra Pradesh’s 3D Printing Centre of Excellence, set up a PC, laptop, and workstation manufacturing unit, develop PC component parks in Tirupati, and attract supply chain partners like Foxconn, Quanta, and Inventec to the state.

Through the CII roadshow, Andhra Pradesh aims to showcase its potential as a hub of technology, industrial growth, and investment, positioning itself as a global destination for sustainable and high-impact development.
