National Wildlife Week 2025 — Awareness Programme on Wildlife Conservation for School Children
Mamit, Oct, 2025: As part of National Wildlife Week 2025, the Kawrthah Forest Division organized an awareness programme on wildlife conservation for school children.

The programme was conducted by Pu Karthikeyan V, IFS, DFO Kawrthah, who emphasized the importance of teaching children about the local environment and wildlife, and the need to preserve and protect it.
Students from several schools, including Kawrthah PS-1, Kawrthah PS-3, Kawrthah PS-4, Halliday English Medium School, Presbyterian English School, and Kawrthah MS-2, actively participated in the event.
The awareness programme helped children understand the value of wildlife and the environment, and encouraged them to develop a sense of responsibility toward nature conservation.
