Principal Secretary Sudhir Kumar and Vigilance Secretary Dr. YLN Reddy Visit Serchhip

Serchhip, Oct 2025 : GAD and EF&CC Principal Secretary Pu Sudhir Kumar, accompanied by Vigilance Secretary Dr. YLN Reddy, visited Serchhip today. They were received by Deputy Commissioner Pu Paul L. Khuma and other officials of the District Administration at the Bawrhsap Bangla.

The senior officials conducted a review meeting to assess various government initiatives and developmental activities in Serchhip District. Reports on ongoing schemes and programmes were presented during the session.

Dr. Malsawmtluanga Fanchun, Project Director, DRDO, highlighted the progress and implementation status of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). Election Officer Pi Vanlalchhanhimi presented a report on the conduct of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Dr. Marilyn Lalruatkimi, SDC and Master Trainer, shared updates on the training sessions conducted under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan across villages in both Serchhip town and the rural areas.

Later, the Principal Secretary Sudhir Kumar and Secretary Dr. Reddy inspected the ongoing construction of the Circuit House at Serchhip. They also visited the Entlang Social Forestry site, where works are being undertaken under the Compensatory Afforestation Management & Planning Authority (CAMPA) Fund.

The two senior officials departed Serchhip later in the day and proceeded to Lunglei.
