Chief Minister Inaugurates 215-Foot-High National Flag in Khatima
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated a 215-foot-high National Flag at Kanjabag Tiraha in Khatima, installed by the Minor Irrigation Department under the Chief Minister’s announcement at a cost of ₹47.42 lakh. The Chief Minister performed a traditional puja, cut the ribbon, and hoisted the flag to mark the inauguration.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the National Flag is not just a symbol, but a representation of India’s unity, integrity, and valour. He added, “This flag will stand tall here and inspire every citizen with the spirit of patriotism.”
To promote the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme, the Minor Irrigation Department also organized a solar exhibition at the venue, providing farmers and the public with detailed information about the scheme’s benefits and objectives.
The event was attended by District Panchayat President Ajay Maurya, Mayor Vikas Sharma, Municipal Chairman Ramesh Chandra Joshi, Minister of State Farzana Begum, Anil Kapoor Dabbou, Shankar Koranga, District President Kamal Jindal, former MLA Dr. Prem Singh Rana, Mohini Pokhariya, Kishan Singh (Kinna), District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, Senior Superintendent of Police Manikant Mishra, Vice Chairman of District Development Authority Jai Kishan, Additional District Magistrate Pankaj Upadhyay, Chief Medical Officer Dr. K.K. Agrawal, Executive Engineer (Minor Irrigation) Sushil Kumar, along with several public representatives and local residents.
