DCM Ajit Pawar Lays Foundation Stone for Health Workers’ Accommodation Building in Sangvi
Baramati : Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar laid the foundation stone for a new building designated for staff accommodation at the Primary Health Centre in Sangvi.
The event was attended by Mandar Kulkarni, Executive Engineer of the Pune Division of the National Health Mission; District Health Officer Dr. Sachin Desai; Tehsildar Ganesh Shinde; Group Development Officer Anil Bagal; Taluka Health Officer Dr. Manoj Khomane; Pune District Central Bank Director Ranjit Tavere; Baramati Cooperative Bank President Sachin Satav; and former Zilla Parishad member Meenakshi Tavere, among others.
Mr. Pawar emphasized that the construction of the new residential building should be carried out with high quality and sustainability. He stressed the use of the best materials, noting that the building will provide accommodation for doctors and other staff at the health center, which will indirectly benefit the patients who visit the center. He urged that the work be done in a way that enhances the reputation of Sangvi.
He further mentioned that in Baramati taluka, infrastructure projects are being planned with a vision for the next 50 years to improve civic facilities. Funds are being allocated for these projects. Previously completed projects include the Sub-headquarters of Police, the Additional Superintendent of Police office, the Baramati Bus Stand, and the residences for police officers and employees in Barhanpur.
Regarding state government schemes, Deputy Chief Minister Pawar highlighted that the additional budget for 2024-25 has allocated funds for various sectors such as agriculture, industry, employment, education, and health. These allocations aim to support farmers, laborers, students, youth, women, backward classes, tribals, and minorities. He also noted the implementation of welfare schemes like the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, Chief Minister Yuva Karya Training Yojana, Chief Minister Baliraja Free Power Yojana, and Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Mahila Startup Yojana. Additionally, grants are planned for Asha volunteers, Anganwadi workers, and group promoters working in the health and education sectors.
A fund of ₹3.65 crore has been allocated under the National Health Mission for the construction of 12 residences in Sangvi. Each residence will have an area of 784 square feet, with a total construction area of 9,408 square feet.
