The first festival Hareli brings the message of greenery and prosperity – Revenue Minister Shri Verma

Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Shri Tankaram Verma today attended the district level Hareli festival, PM Awas beneficiaries’ Grihapravesh and tree plantation program organized by Panchayat and Rural Development Department in village Sakri under development block Balodabazar. On the auspicious occasion of Chhattisgarh’s first festival Hareli, the guests prayed to agricultural tools in the traditional way and wished for the happiness, prosperity and good harvest of the people of the district. Minister Shri Verma handed over the keys of the houses to 10 beneficiaries on completion of the houses sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Awas Gramin and planted a sapling on the embankment of Amrit Sarovar under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan. On the demand of the villagers, Cabinet Minister Shri Verma announced the approval of new PDAS building in village Sakri and Rs 10 lakh for Manas Bhawan.

Revenue Minister Mr. Verma, while congratulating and wishing everyone on the occasion of Hareli festival, said that it is the first festival of Chhattisgarh. Hareli brings the message of greenery, prosperity and well-being for everyone including farmers. Farmers, after retiring from farming, worship agricultural tools and nature with the hope of a good harvest. He said that keeping in mind that greenery and prosperity should remain in the state, our government is realizing Modi’s guarantee and Vishnu’s motto of good governance. Prime Minister Modi is committed to the all-round development of India in 10 years. India is the country with the 5th largest economy, which has to be brought to the third position. Prime Minister Mr. Modi is fulfilling the dreams of the poor to have a permanent house. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai, our government has fulfilled the promises made in a very short time.

To empower women economically, Rs. 1000 is being given every month in the accounts of women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. To make the women empowerment strong and self-reliant by providing self-employment, the work of running ready-to-eat food will be given through the group. Similarly, landless agricultural labourers will be given Rs 10,000 annually under the scheme. He said that today 18 beneficiaries of Sakri village have been approved for PM housing. Former Assembly Speaker Shri Gaurishankar Agarwal, former Parliamentary Secretary Dr Sanam Jangde and District Panchayat President Shri Rakesh Verma also addressed the program.

Collector Shri Deepak Soni said that 86 Amrit Sarovars have been completed in the district so far. Amrit Sarovars are being developed to promote rural tourism and as a means of livelihood. To strengthen the rural economy, the district administration is trying to complete 100 percent construction of Amrit Sarovars on time as per the instructions of the state government.
