Jaipur, Oct 2025 : On the eve of Diwali, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma gave the message of “Vocal for Local” by shopping from local shopkeepers and street vendors. On Sunday, he visited the Bada Bazaar located on Kiran Path in Mansarovar with his family and purchased earthen lamps, worship materials, rangoli items, decorative torans, and fruits.
Extending his Diwali greetings to the people of the state, Shri Sharma said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has significantly reduced GST rates, making essential commodities more affordable. As a result, people are now more enthusiastic and cheerful about shopping during the festive season.
He urged citizens to promote Vocal for Local by purchasing more from local shopkeepers and street vendors, which would help bring prosperity to their homes. He emphasized that by using products made in India, everyone can contribute to building a truly Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).
During his visit, the Chief Minister interacted warmly with shopkeepers and vendors and made his payments through UPI, encouraging the adoption of Digital India. On this occasion, local trade associations and members of the public extended a warm welcome to the Chief Minister.
