“May Diwali bring better days once again in the lives of our farmers.”
Mumbai, Oct 2025: Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Maharashtra on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, wishing that the festival of lights brings happiness, prosperity, and renewed energy into the lives of all citizens.
In his festive message, Shinde expressed hope that the radiance of Deepotsav would illuminate the path of Maharashtra’s progress, leading the state toward greater development. “Diwali is not merely a festival of lamps but a celebration of hope, enthusiasm, and new resolutions. Let us draw inspiration from this festival of light and work together with unity to take Maharashtra to new heights of progress. The government is fully committed to achieving the vision of inclusive development, and we are making tireless efforts in this direction,” he said.
Referring to the recent heavy rainfall and floods that affected farmers across several regions, the Deputy Chief Minister assured that the government stands firmly with them during this difficult time. “The government has ensured that no farmer’s Diwali turns bitter despite the challenges posed by the recent unseasonal rains. We have prioritized efforts to wipe away their tears and bring relief to those in distress. I pray that this Diwali ushers in better days for our farmers and removes their pain and hardships,” Shinde said.
He further mentioned that the state administration is equally concerned about the welfare of its employees and every section of society. “We have made efforts to make this Diwali sweet for government employees as well. Whether it is the farmer or the employee, the government’s goal is to ensure happiness and well-being for every segment of society,” he added.
The Deputy Chief Minister concluded his message by appealing to the people to celebrate Diwali with harmony, responsibility, and a spirit of togetherness, emphasizing that collective progress and unity are the true lights that will guide Maharashtra toward a brighter future.
