Ensure Farmers Face No Inconvenience in Bhavantar Scheme Implementation: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Bhavantar Scheme has been launched in the interest of farmers and has received widespread appreciation across the state. He stated that registrations have increased more than threefold, with a total of 9.36 lakh farmers enrolled under the scheme. CM Dr. Yadav directed officials to ensure that farmers face no inconvenience during any stage of the implementation process.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave these instructions while reviewing the Bhavantar Scheme for soybean procurement at the Chief Minister’s residence. It was informed in the meeting that Ujjain, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Dewas, Sehore, Vidisha and Sagar are the seven districts where more than 50,000 farmers have registered. Similarly, over 10,000 registrations have been recorded in 21 other districts.

CM Dr. Yadav instructed that all necessary preparations for soybean procurement in mandis and sub-mandis be completed in time and that farmers be provided with all essential information related to the scheme. He noted that the recent awareness campaign has led to a remarkable increase in registrations. The Chief Minister directed that the Bhavantar payment be transferred directly to the farmers’ registered bank accounts through DBT within the stipulated period, and that farmers receive SMS notifications confirming the payments.

Technical and Manpower Arrangements in Mandis

It was informed in the meeting that the soybean sale period will run from October 24, 2025, to January 15, 2026. All transactions are being conducted electronically through the E-Uparjan and E-Mandi portals. Adequate technical and human resource arrangements have been made in all mandis and sub-mandis. Mandi-level staff have received training, and CCTV monitoring has been installed at entry gates and premises. Each mandi has also set up a help desk.

Collectors, Commissioners and the Agriculture Secretary have been instructed on necessary actions related to the Bhavantar Scheme in review meetings.

In a separate meeting, CM Dr. Yadav held detailed discussions with senior officials on the Solar Pump Scheme for farmers’ welfare. The Department of Renewable Energy presented details of the ongoing campaign for solar pump installations across the state.

Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shri Neeraj Mandloi, along with other concerned officials, were present in the meeting.
