“Ambuja Cements to Invest Rs 1,600 Crore in Bihar for Major Cement Grinding Unit”
Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Group, announced a significant investment of Rs 1,600 crore to establish a 6 MTPA cement grinding unit in Warisaliganj, Bihar. This project is expected to enhance infrastructure in the state, contribute approximately Rs 250 crore annually to Bihar’s revenue, and create 250 direct and 1,000 indirect jobs. The project will be rolled out in three phases, with the initial 2.4 MTPA phase scheduled to commence by December 2025 with an investment of Rs 1,100 crore.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar praised the investment as a testament to Bihar’s growth potential, while Pranav Adani, Managing Director of Adani Enterprises, highlighted the alignment with the state’s development programs and infrastructure needs. The project is anticipated to support sustainable infrastructure development in the region and reflects the largest cement industry investment in Bihar to date.
