Lakshya Sen Falls to Viktor Axelsen in Olympic Semi-Final, Eyes Bronze Medal
Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen fell to Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen in straight games during the men’s singles semi-final at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Sunday. Despite leading 20-17 in the first game, Sen lost 20-22 and couldn’t maintain his momentum, eventually falling 14-21 in the second game to the defending Olympic champion.
Sen, who is ranked world No. 22, will face Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia in the bronze medal match on Monday.
