Tejashwi Yadav Accuses NDA of “Colonizing” Bihar, Unveils Grand Alliance Manifesto Focused on Jobs and Social Welfare
Patna, Oct 2025 : Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial candidate and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday launched a blistering attack on the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), accusing it of “colonizing” Bihar and attempting to manipulate the upcoming Assembly elections through administrative pressure and misuse of central forces.
Speaking at the release of the Grand Alliance’s 25-point manifesto for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, Tejashwi Yadav said the document was prepared after extensive consultations with experts, youth representatives, and social groups, placing employment generation and social welfare at its core.
“The focus of our manifesto is clear — every family in Bihar will have at least one member in a government job,” Tejashwi announced. “Our government will prioritize employment, education, and development. We want to make Bihar the number one state in India, while the NDA only wants to take control of it.”
Questions BJP’s Leadership Silence and Vision for Bihar
The RJD leader questioned the BJP’s silence on its leadership face in Bihar. “Despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and several other senior leaders holding rallies across the state, not one of them has declared Nitish Kumar as the NDA’s chief ministerial candidate,” Tejashwi said.
He also criticized the NDA for failing to release its election manifesto. “We have come before the people with a joint manifesto that reflects our vision for Bihar. But where is their blueprint? What is their plan for Bihar’s progress? Their silence shows they have no vision, only ambition,” he remarked.
Accuses NDA of Misusing Power and Central Forces
Tejashwi Yadav accused the ruling coalition of trying to influence the upcoming election through administrative coercion and excessive deployment of security forces. “For the first time, 1,500 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in Bihar,” he said, suggesting the move was aimed at intimidating voters.
He also alleged that during a recent virtual meeting, some officials were instructed to “slow down voting” in constituencies where the Grand Alliance is expected to perform strongly. “I want to remind such officials that your oath is to the Constitution, not to any political party,” Tejashwi warned. “Do not let Bihar become a colony. The people and leaders of the Grand Alliance are vigilant this time.”
To ensure transparency, Tejashwi said the Grand Alliance would demand videography at all polling stations to prevent irregularities and ensure a fair election process. “We will not allow deceit, dictatorship, or manipulation to take away the people’s voice,” he asserted.
Calls for Honest Governance and Institutional Integrity
Tejashwi urged all government employees to work with neutrality and integrity. “You are the guardians of democracy. Work honestly, uphold your oath to the Constitution, and ensure a free and fair election,” he appealed.
He further emphasized that Bihar’s voters were ready for change. “On November 6 and November 11, the people of Bihar have a chance to choose a government focused on jobs, education, and dignity. This time, they will not miss the opportunity,” he said confidently.
Cites Corruption, Promises Development and Investment
The RJD leader accused the NDA of widespread corruption and governance failure, citing major scandals such as the Srijan scam, the Muzaffarpur shelter home case, and the ₹70,000 crore irregularities flagged by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). “The bureaucracy today suppresses the voices of elected representatives — this must end,” he said.
Outlining the Grand Alliance’s development roadmap, Tejashwi promised to promote industries, food processing units, agriculture-based enterprises, IT parks, world-class universities, and super-specialty hospitals across Bihar.
“Whatever we have mentioned in this manifesto, we will fulfill — even if it means sacrificing our lives,” Tejashwi declared, closing his speech amid loud cheers from party workers.
