District Collector Felicitates Serena Mhaskar, Gold Medalist at Youth Asian Kabaddi Championship

Mumbai, Oct 2025 : Serena Sachin Mhaskar, a member of the Indian team that won the gold medal at the 3rd Youth Asian Kabaddi Championship, was felicitated today by Divisional Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi and District Collector Saurabh Katiar (Mumbai Suburban). She was presented with a certificate of appreciation and a memento in recognition of her achievement.

The felicitation ceremony was organized at the Office of the District Sports Officer, Mumbai Suburban. On the occasion, District Collector Katiar assured that all necessary assistance will be extended from the District Collector’s office to support Serena’s sporting career in the future.

Serena was accompanied by her coach Amit Tamhankar, her mother Mrs. Meghali Mhaskar (recipient of the Shiv Chhatrapati State Sports Award), and her father Sachin Mhaskar (an international rugby player).

The event was also attended by District Sports Officer Rashmi Ambedkar and Sports Executive Officer Preeti Temghare.
