Chief Secretary Reviews Preparations for Sardar@150, Khelo India, and Dharti Aba Campaign — Calls for Collective Effort to Ensure Success

Jaipur, Oct 2025 : Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant has directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination for the successful organization of the Sardar@150 National Unity Celebrations, Khelo India Games, and the Dharti Aba Campaign being held across Rajasthan. He emphasized ensuring maximum public participation in these events to make them truly meaningful.

Chairing a review meeting at the Secretariat on Thursday, the Chief Secretary issued necessary instructions regarding the preparations for the upcoming programmes. He said that on October 31, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, each district should ensure wide public participation in Sardar@150 National Unity Celebrations through Ekta Marches, Padyatras, various competitions, and other related activities.

As part of the celebration, Padyatras of 10–25 kilometres will be held in each parliamentary constituency, during which floral tributes will be paid to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel along the routes.

Reviewing preparations for the Khelo India Games scheduled from November 24, Pant instructed departments to work in full coordination to ensure smooth arrangements — from providing adequate facilities for participating athletes to managing logistics efficiently. He also directed that cultural programmes be organized to promote tourism during the event, showcasing Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage at public venues.

Referring to the Dharti Aba Campaign, being organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the Chief Secretary said that from November 1 to November 15, statewide activities will be held including cultural events centred on Bhagwan Birsa Munda, art exhibitions, seminars, speech and essay competitions, health and medical camps, prabhat pheris (morning processions), and shobha yatras (parades).

He asked the Tribal Area Development Department to monitor the events daily and encouraged divisional commissioners and district collectors to promote innovative tribal development initiatives at the district level. Pant also suggested instituting an award scheme under the department to recognize districts that perform exceptionally in organizing these programmes.

During the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Bhaskar A. Sawant, Secretary (General Administration) Dr. Jogaram, and Secretary (Youth Affairs & Sports) Dr. Neeraj K. Pawan were present. Concerned divisional commissioners and district collectors also joined the meeting via video conference.

Principal Secretary, Tribal Area Development (with additional charge) Subir Kumar gave a presentation outlining that the events will be organized at village, block, and district levels from November 1 to 15, culminating in a state-level function to be held in Salumbar district on November 15.
