Observation of National Unity Day in Mizoram

October 31, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, is celebrated across India as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) to honour his role in unifying the nation. This year, being the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the central government has issued special directives for its extensive and meaningful observance.

In Mizoram, National Unity Day was also observed with due importance, with various district-level government offices organising programmes to mark the occasion. The event emphasised strengthening unity and integrity, promoting awareness on national cohesion, and encouraging commitment to safeguarding the nation’s security and unity.
