Employment Opportunities for Women Through MAVIM’s ‘Navtejaswini Garment Unit’ – Minister Aditi Tatkare

Mumbai, Nov 2025 : To provide women with local employment opportunities, the Navtejaswini Garment Unit has been inaugurated in Roha. This initiative is expected to further strengthen the ongoing efforts toward women’s empowerment. Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare expressed confidence that the women participating in this new venture—launched through the Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM)—will gain economic independence.

The MAVIM-established ‘Navtejaswini Garment Unit’ was recently inaugurated at Roha (Raigad) by Minister Aditi Tatkare. MLA Aniket Tatkare, General Manager Mahendra Gamre, renowned actress Kishori Shahane, MAVIM officials, Panchayat Samiti members, representatives of the UMED and Municipal Council, women’s self-help group members, and local citizens were present at the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Tatkare said that this initiative marks a new chapter in empowering the women of Roha taluka. She added that with proper training and the availability of permanent local employment, women are now steadily moving toward self-reliance, which is a matter of great satisfaction.
