“I Kawtkaiah Sawrkar” Programme Held in Bunghmun
Lunglei, Nov 2025: The second phase of the “I Kawtkaiah Sawrkar” (Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore) programme was organised today at the Bunghmun BDO Office Complex for the residents of Bunghmun and adjoining villages. Organised as part of the Lunglei District Deputy Commissioner’s outreach initiative, the programme aims to bring essential government services and welfare schemes closer to rural citizens through doorstep delivery and on-site facilitation.
During the event, several government departments and agencies — including the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Election Branch, BDO Bunghmun, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Health & Family Welfare and others — set up stalls to provide easy access to public services. Residents accessed services such as Aadhaar enrolment and correction, issuance and updating of Voter ID card, and obtaining income, tribal, and residential certificates. Awareness and registration drives under different government schemes were also conducted, along with health and livestock check-ups and grievance redressal sessions.
A total of 453 beneficiaries availed themselves of different services during the programme, which served as a vital outreach effort to ensure efficient delivery of government benefits at the grassroots level.
