Workshop Held in Jaipur to Promote Gender Sensitivity and Awareness

A workshop was organized at the Directorate of Women Empowerment to promote sensitivity and awareness toward gender issues in society.

Jaipur, Nov 2025 : A one-day workshop was held on Tuesday at the HCM RIPA campus in Jaipur by the Directorate of Women Empowerment under the Rajasthan State Women Policy 2021. The workshop focused on orienting representatives from various departments and trainers from training institutions on a gender sensitivity module developed under the policy.

This module has been developed with the technical support of UNICEF and the Kalibai Bheel Women and Child Development Research Institute. Officers from different departments and trainers/representatives from training institutions participated in the workshop for orientation on the module.

During the workshop, departmental officers and UNICEF Rajasthan representative, Mrs. Manjari Pant, delivered a presentation through PPT on creating a gender-sensitive environment as envisioned in the Rajasthan State Women Policy 2021. They discussed the current status of gender sensitivity in Rajasthan, the initiatives undertaken by the department, and provided an overview of the module.

UNICEF’s partner institution also held an in-depth discussion on the various chapters included in the module.

Commissioner of Women Empowerment, Mrs. Neetu Rajeswar, stated that the main objective of this workshop is to promote sensitivity and awareness related to gender issues within society.
