Investors are Welcome in Madhya Pradesh: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that all investors are warmly welcome to the sacred land of Madhya Pradesh. The government will ensure investors not only benefit from state policy incentives but also receive assistance in establishing their units or factories. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed a gathering of investors at Samatva Bhavan, his residence, on Wednesday. He met with Indian and Japanese officials from Topan Specialty Films Private Limited, a company acquired by the Japanese group, led by Principal Secretary of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh. Headquartered in Japan and Punjab, the group plans to establish a BOPP and CPP film manufacturing unit with an annual capacity of approximately 71,200 tons in Sector-7 of the Pithampur Industrial Area, Dhar district, with a proposed investment of about ₹950 crore. The project will be structured as 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Officials discussed in detail the preparatory measures for this investment with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Present at the meeting were the company’s CFO and Whole-Time Director Shri Amit Jain, Commercial Head Shri Ritesh Tirkha, Managing Executive Director Shri Hiroshi Suzuki, General Manager Shri Tasuku Sena, Sector Staff Shri Tomohiro Koma, Technical Advisor Shri Toshiyuki Maki and other officials.

Signaling their investment commitment to Madhya Pradesh, company officials noted this would be their first investment in the state and expressed interest in maximizing the incentives provided under the state’s investment promotion policy. Topan Group, originally founded as an Indian company in 1988 and later acquired by the Japanese group, specializes in packaging films, label films, and graphic lamination films. Their manufacturing unit in Punjab spans about 45 acres. The group’s global turnover is ₹1.25 lakh crore (USD 14 billion), while its Indian turnover stands at ₹1,500 crore. Their sole manufacturing location in India is in Punjab. For the proposed unit in Madhya Pradesh, a 14-hectare plot has been identified within Pithampur’s Sector-7 industrial area, which company representatives have already surveyed.
