Visakhapatnam Set to Host 30th CII Partnership Summit: Andhra Pradesh Targets ₹10 Lakh Crore Investments and Global Alliances
Visakhapatnam, Nov 2025 : Visakhapatnam is abuzz with preparations as it gears up to host the 30th CII Partnership Summit 2025 on November 14 and 15, jointly organised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is personally overseeing the arrangements, with an aim to showcase Andhra Pradesh as a leading global investment hub and one of India’s fastest-growing economic frontiers.
Themed “Partners in Progress – India’s Roadmap to Viksit Bharat 2047,” the two-day event will be held at the Andhra University Engineering College grounds. It will bring together policymakers, global business leaders, and industry experts to discuss innovation, sustainable growth, and future-ready economic collaboration.
A Global Stage for Andhra Pradesh’s Ambition
Over 100 international delegates are expected to attend the summit, representing more than 45 countries. The event will feature the signing of hundreds of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) across key sectors, including green energy, information technology, electronics, automobiles, space, defence, and tourism.
Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan will inaugurate the summit, while Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will open the Andhra Pradesh Pavilion. Among the business leaders expected to participate are Yusuff Ali (Lulu Group), Baba Kalyani (Bharat Forge), and Karan Adani (Adani Ports).
Chief Minister Naidu will camp in Visakhapatnam for four days, holding back-to-back meetings with global and domestic industry leaders from countries such as Taiwan, Italy, Sweden, and the Netherlands. The discussions will focus on artificial intelligence, sustainability, manufacturing, and global industrial partnerships.
During the summit, Andhra Pradesh and Singapore are expected to sign an agreement to launch direct flight services between Singapore and Vijayawada, enhancing trade and tourism connectivity.
Naidu will also lay the foundation stone for a new Lulu Mall in Visakhapatnam and inaugurate new projects by Raymond, Sri City, Indosole, and Google, signalling the state’s diversified industrial growth.
Investment Push Worth ₹10 Lakh Crore
According to state government estimates, the summit could attract investments worth up to ₹10 lakh crore, generating massive employment opportunities. The event follows months of strategic outreach: Naidu conducted investment roadshows in Singapore, the UAE, and the UK, while IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh and other ministers engaged with investors across India and abroad.
Speaking ahead of the summit, Nara Lokesh said Andhra Pradesh has set an ambitious goal of attracting $1 trillion (₹83 lakh crore) in global and domestic investments. “In just 16 months, we’ve already attracted $120 billion, thanks to political stability, fast-track governance, and an investor-first approach,” he said at a press conference in New Delhi.
“These are not ceremonial MoUs,” he added. “They represent real, operational projects that are generating jobs and transforming regional economies.”
During the summit, 410 new investment agreements valued at $120 billion will be formalised, expected to create 7.5 lakh employment opportunities. Groundbreaking ceremonies for projects worth ₹2.7 lakh crore will also be held, marking the beginning of Andhra Pradesh’s next industrial leap.
Driving Growth with Speed, Stability, and Skill
Lokesh credited the state’s success to what he described as the “Speed of Doing Business” model — a fast, transparent governance framework that reduces delays and accelerates execution. “In today’s economy, agility defines success. A month’s delay can derail an entire investment plan. We ensure projects move from intent to implementation at record pace,” he said.
Highlighting major ongoing projects, Lokesh said Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is setting up a ₹1 lakh crore refinery, while NTPC is developing a ₹1.65 lakh crore green hydrogen hub. Tech giant Google is building its largest foreign direct investment project in India — the Google Data City in Visakhapatnam.
He also mentioned that five of India’s top ten solar manufacturers have chosen Andhra Pradesh as their base, underscoring its leadership in renewable energy.
“Our aim is to create two million jobs over the next five years — not as a statistic but as a commitment to our youth,” Lokesh said. “Every policy we design has job creation at its heart.”
Tourism and Infrastructure in Focus
Beyond industry, Andhra Pradesh is also betting big on tourism and infrastructure. The state, among the first in India to grant industry status to tourism, plans to add 50,000 hotel rooms in the next three years to support growing business and leisure travel.
Chief Minister Naidu has also directed officials to make Visakhapatnam one of South Asia’s cleanest, most livable cities, aligning with the broader vision of building smart, sustainable urban centres across Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh’s Vision for 2047
Summing up the state’s broader ambition, Lokesh said:
“Chief Minister Naidu’s leadership combines visionary planning with executional excellence. Together with Prime Minister Modi’s Viksit Bharat vision, Andhra Pradesh aims to become a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047. This summit is a step toward making that future a reality.”
With its investor-friendly policies, technological focus, and relentless push for innovation, Andhra Pradesh is positioning itself not just as a participant in India’s growth story — but as a key driver of the nation’s economic transformation.
