Initiative to Make Madhya Pradesh a Preferred Destination for Global Capability Centers

A successful ‘MP GCC Leadership Connect Roundtable’ was held at Indore’s Brilliant Convention Center on Thursday as part of MP Tech Growth Conclave 2.0, to establish Madhya Pradesh as a preferred destination for Global Capability Centers (GCCs). Over 25 GCCs participated, contributing to meaningful discussions that will shape the state’s long-term technology strategy.

Additional Chief Secretary for Science & Technology, Shri Sanjay Dubey, stated that establishing MP as a GCC hub is a key government priority. Facilities in tier-2 cities provide a strong business ecosystem for GCCs. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in India to create a dedicated GCC policy. The state, under its drone policy, is developing a drone data repository, actively promoting investment and growth in the semiconductor sector, providing subsidies to businesses through the data center policy, and formulating a space technology policy. He stated that IIT Indore is the country’s only institute offering BTech and MTech courses in space technology. MP is leading in startup promotion; over 10% of India’s gaming IP creation originates here, reflecting the state’s technical strength and talent pool.
