Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Thanks PM Modi and Voters as NDA Secures Historic Mandate
Patna, Nov 2025 : Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) President Nitish Kumar on Friday conveyed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of Bihar as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) surged towards a sweeping mandate in the 2025 Assembly elections.
With the latest trends showing the NDA crossing the 200-seat mark in the 243-member Assembly, Kumar said that the voters of Bihar had once again “reaffirmed their faith” in the coalition government and its policies.
“In the Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections 2025, the people of the state have expressed their confidence in our government by granting us a massive majority. For this trust, I bow to all the esteemed voters of Bihar and express my heartfelt gratitude,” he said in an official statement.
The Chief Minister also extended deep appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his continued guidance and support. “I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for the support received from him, and I bow to him with utmost respect,” he said.
Kumar emphasised that the NDA’s resounding victory was a reflection of unity, coordination, and collective effort within the alliance. He credited the performance to the synergy among its partners.
“The NDA alliance has secured a massive majority in this election by demonstrating complete unity. I extend my thanks and gratitude to all our alliance partners—Shri Chirag Paswan ji, Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi ji, and Shri Upendra Kushwaha ji. With everyone’s cooperation, Bihar will move ahead on the path of development and inch closer to becoming one of the most advanced states in the country,” Kumar said.
The Chief Minister tagged his message to PM Modi, Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Upendra Kushwaha on social media.
The JD(U), one of the key pillars of the NDA in Bihar, has already secured 48 seats and is leading in 36 others, taking its tally to 84. The party contested the polls in alliance with the BJP and regional partners such as HAMS, RLM, and LJP(R).
Meanwhile, the NDA’s impressive performance has dealt a significant blow to the Opposition’s Mahagathbandhan, whose tally has remained around 35 seats—one of its weakest electoral showings in recent years.
With a massive mandate behind it, the NDA is now poised to form a stable government and continue its agenda of development, governance reforms, and welfare initiatives across Bihar.
