NDA Begins Government Formation Process as Leaders Hold Key Meetings in Patna
Patna, Nov 2025 : With the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) securing a decisive victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, political activity has intensified across the capital as discussions on forming the new government gain momentum. Key leaders from the BJP, JD(U), and allied parties have begun deliberations on power sharing, Cabinet formation, and preparations for the forthcoming swearing-in ceremony.
From early Saturday morning, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s official residence at 1 Aney Marg turned into a hub of continuous political consultations. JD(U) Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh) were among the first to arrive for strategy meetings with the Chief Minister.
Shortly afterward, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Union Minister Chirag Paswan also reached the residence to participate in detailed discussions on the shape of the next government. Senior JD(U) leaders Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Shyam Rajak, newly elected MLAs, and senior officials joined the deliberations later in the day.
According to sources, the ongoing meetings are focused on finalising the structure of the new Cabinet, determining ministerial portfolios, and coordinating arrangements for the oath-taking ceremony. With the NDA’s strong electoral mandate, leaders are working to create a balanced and cohesive government that reflects alliance unity.
After meeting Nitish Kumar, LJP-Ram Vilas chief Chirag Paswan attributed the NDA’s landslide win to the Chief Minister’s leadership and his efforts to maintain unity within the coalition. He pointed out that Nitish Kumar’s symbolic gestures—such as publicly displaying his inked finger after voting—helped project a strong message of solidarity during the campaign.
Paswan also noted that the LJP-Ram Vilas’ support to the JD(U) on the Alauli seat contributed positively to the alliance’s overall performance. He dismissed speculation about internal discord within the NDA, calling such claims “politically motivated,” and said the election results clearly reflected the alliance’s strength and cohesion.
He added that the 2025 mandate was a vote for stability, development, and unity, and assured that the newly formed government would work with greater coordination to meet public expectations.
With all NDA partners signalling full confidence in Nitish Kumar’s leadership, the final blueprint of the new government is expected to be unveiled soon. The Cabinet is likely to feature a carefully balanced representation from the BJP, JD(U), and smaller allies, mirroring the unity displayed throughout the election campaign.
