Mahakal’s City Emerging as a Green Energy Hub: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav described the grand industrial event held in Ujjain-Shajapur as the historic beginning of the state’s green energy revolution. He stated that the city of Baba Mahakal is rapidly emerging as a leading green energy hub. The state-of-the-art solar equipment manufacturing units being established in Maksi and Barndwa will not only set a new direction for the nation’s energy security but also make Madhya Pradesh a leading center for green energy technology.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that the emerging industrial triangle of Ujjain, Dewas, and Shajapur is adding new dimensions to the state’s economic growth, industrial strength, and investment potential, marking a new chapter in Madhya Pradesh’s long-term development. He described the Bhoomi Poojan of these industrial units as an investment in the future of youth, promising thousands of quality, skill-based, and sustainable jobs, and opening new horizons for the state’s young workforce.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed Bhoomi Poojan for two major projects in Phase-2, including Jackson Integrated’s ₹7,104 crore, 6 GW integrated solar equipment manufacturing unit and Jackson Engineers Limited’s ₹1,046 crore unit, which together will provide direct employment to over 4,000 young people. The arrival of these industries is expected to boost employment, economic activities, and small businesses in nearby villages and towns, contributing significantly to the national green energy mission. After completion, Ujjain district will gain prominence on the national map for solar equipment manufacturing.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav affirmed that Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a preferred investment destination, with transparent policies fostering industrial growth. He remarked that “Baba Mahakal’s city is moving towards becoming a city of green energy.” Jackson Group Chairman Sameer Gupta confirmed that the first phase will be completed and production will start by July 2026, attributing their choice of Maksi to Madhya Pradesh’s investor-friendly policies and the Chief Minister’s development-oriented approach. Besides, Bhoomi Poojan was performed and projects were inaugurated for four other industrial units in Phase 1 of the Maksi industrial area, Aditya Wood Packaging, Pushti Pharmacom Pvt. Ltd., Rukmani & Sons, and Yonco Proteins Pvt. Ltd., which are linked to wood pallets, pharmaceutical chemicals, agricultural products, and organic fertilizers. These units will create employment for over 200 local youth and add to the industrial hub potential of the Maksi area.

Furthermore, a new large industrial park is being developed over 476 hectares in the Peepalrava-Polyakala area of Shajapur and Dewas districts at an estimated cost exceeding ₹500 crore, expected to house 200-300 new industrial units providing up to 50,000 direct and 60,000 indirect jobs, fostering economic prosperity for local youth, farmers, transporters, small industries, and MSMEs.

In Shajapur, a new MSME industrial park spanning 40.47 hectares with an estimated development cost of ₹30.55 crore is being created to offer better infrastructure and expansion opportunities for small and medium enterprises, with a projected investment of ₹2,500 crore and employment for around 4,000 people.
