Camps on November 21 for Settlement of Unclaimed Assets in Mumbai City and Suburban Districts
Camps will be organised on November 21 in Mumbai Suburban and Mumbai City districts through the District Lead Bank to facilitate the settlement of unclaimed assets.
The aim of this initiative is to raise public awareness about long-inactive deposits, shares, dividends, insurance policies, Provident Fund (PF) accounts and other unclaimed assets lying with various banks and financial institutions. It also seeks to help rightful claimants access information and receive guidance regarding their assets.
Through these camps, citizens will receive assistance such as:
- Information and verification of inactive accounts in various banks
- Guidance on the claims process and required documents
- An opportunity to interact directly with representatives and officers of concerned banks
- Support in checking assets through the online portal
The State Level Bankers’ Committee has appealed to citizens to participate in these camps, review deposits or assets belonging to themselves or their family members, and submit rightful claims. These camps will create awareness among citizens about their financial rights and help ensure that unclaimed assets reach their rightful owners.
