Call to Visit Exhibition on New Criminal Laws
Mumbai, Nov 2025: The Central Government has implemented the new criminal laws — the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam — across the country from 1 July 2024. To create public awareness about these new criminal laws, a five-day exhibition has been organised at Azad Maidan from 19 to 23 November 2025.
The exhibition will remain open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until 23 November. It features stalls from various departments, including the Control Room on the new criminal laws, Directorate of Forensic Science Laboratories, Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Directorate of Prosecution, City Civil and Sessions Court, High Court, and Central Prison. Information is being presented through demonstrations and dramatized formats.
All citizens are urged to visit this exhibition. Principal Secretary of the Home Department, Anup Kumar Singh, has especially appealed to law students and lawyers to attend and familiarize themselves with the new laws.
