Transparent Paddy Procurement Brings Relief to Farmers

Government Policies and Transparent Paddy Procurement System Bring Smiles to Farmers’ Faces
Farmer Chetan Patel Sells 76 Quintals of Paddy; Will Use the Payment to Clear Tractor Installments

Raipur, Nov 2025 : Due to the government’s policies, transparent and well-managed paddy procurement systems at the procurement centers, and timely payments after the sale, farmers are showing great enthusiasm for paddy procurement. This year, farmer Shri Chetan Patel from village Baghutola in Kabirdham district sold 76 quintals of paddy.

Shri Patel said that because of the online token system, farmers no longer need to stand in long queues at the society center nor make repeated visits. Receiving an online token within minutes has made the entire procurement process smooth and hassle-free. He further shared that he will use the payment received from selling paddy to pay the EMI of about ₹80,000 for his tractor, which will provide him significant financial relief.

Shri Chetan Patel explained that he cultivates a total of 5 acres of land, and his family is entirely dependent on agriculture. He said that government policies—such as the rate of ₹3,100 per quintal, a procurement limit of 21 quintals per acre, and timely payments—have provided farmers with a strong economic foundation. Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai for the farmer-friendly policies and transparency in the procurement system, he said that receiving a fair price for their hard work is the greatest support a farmer can get.
