Chief Minister Dhami Attends Shabad Kirtan at Racecourse Gurdwara
On the occasion of the 350th martyrdom day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Racecourse Gurdwara on Tuesday and participated in the programme organized there.
The Chief Minister offered prayers (matha tekna) at the Gurdwara Sahib and listened to the Shabad Kirtan. He later met the office-bearers of the Racecourse Gurdwara Sahib, who honoured him by presenting a memento. CM Dhami also took part in serving langar among the sangat.
Paying floral tributes to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Chief Minister said that Guru Sahib holds a unique place among those who sacrificed their lives for the protection of religion, human values, and principles. He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji spread the message of love, unity, and brotherhood, and his supreme sacrifice inspires us to maintain mutual harmony and solidarity.
CM Dhami added that the Govindghat–Hemkunt Sahib ropeway is being constructed to facilitate an easier pilgrimage to Shri Hemkunt Sahib for Sikh devotees. Additionally, he said that all benefits meant for minority educational institutions are also being extended to the Sikh community.
Present on the occasion were Gurdwara Sahib Management Committee Chairman Shri Balveer Singh Sahni, Secretary Rajinder Pal Singh Chandok, and BJP Metropolitan President Siddharth Agarwal.
