Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma Visits Hospital, Reviews the Health of Injured Woman Constable

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma visited the hospital to check on the health condition of woman constable Ms. Muchaki Durga, who was injured in an IED blast in Sukma district on Thursday.

He instructed doctors to ensure the best possible medical treatment.

Raipur, Nov 2025 : Ms. Muchaki Durga, a woman constable of the District Police Force, was seriously injured in an IED blast that occurred in Sukma district on Thursday. Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma today visited Ramakrishna Hospital in Raipur to inquire about her condition. He met the injured constable and spoke to the doctors regarding her treatment, directing them to provide the highest quality medical care. Doctors informed that Ms. Durga is out of danger, but due to severe injuries, her recovery will take time.

It is noteworthy that Constable Durga had gone with a joint team of the DRG (District Reserve Guard) and District Force for an area domination operation on the Gogunda hill in Sukma, and the team was moving towards the forest. An active pressure Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by Naxalites was present there. She accidentally stepped on the device, causing the explosion that led to her injuries. She sustained wounds to her legs, hands, eyes, and face. After receiving primary treatment, she was airlifted to Raipur for further medical care.

During the visit, Deputy Chief Minister Sharma encouraged Ms. Durga and spoke with her family members. He also interacted with her elder sister, Ms. Muchaki Karuna, assuring all possible assistance from the government.
