Nirmala’s Paddy Sale Becomes a New Hope for Her Daughter’s Future
Raipur, Dec 2025 : Nirmala says that this year, the arrangements at paddy procurement centers are much better than before. “The weighing is accurate, there is no need to stand in long queues, and there are no crowds. Farmers don’t have to wait, and the staff is cooperative. Everything is clean and runs smoothly. Farmers are being treated with respect. This change has been a relief for us,” she said. She added that it is because of this system that her daughter could complete her studies. Her daughter has already finished engineering and is now preparing for the UPSC exams.
Not Just Income, But Trust in the Government
Early in the morning, Nirmala Devangan, a farmer from the village of Achhota, brought 60 quintals of paddy to the procurement center. Her face reflected calm, while her heart was filled with hopes for her daughter’s bright future. For her, the money earned from selling paddy is not just income—it is also a matter of trust in the system. This income helps her manage household expenses.
‘Token Tunhar Duvar’ App Saves Time and Effort
The government has taken several steps to make the procurement process easier. All centers are equipped with proper shade, drinking water, accurate weighing systems, and security arrangements. Farmers’ convenience has been made a priority. The biggest relief has come from the ‘Token Tunhar Duvar’ app, which allows farmers to get tokens from home. The time of sale is fixed, and there are no crowds. Both time and effort are saved. This facility has proven especially useful for women farmers.
A System Giving New Direction to Farmers’ Hopes
Thousands of farmers like Nirmala Devangan are benefiting from this system. Their hard work is being sold at fair prices, strengthening their families’ dreams. Education, healthcare, and livelihood needs are being met. Paddy procurement is not just a government procedure—it is a system that gives new direction to the hopes of farming families. In places like Achhota, this initiative is creating stories of change. Nirmala’s smile is a testimony to that transformation.
