CM Fadnavis Directs Strict Security and Services for Mahaparinirvan Din

Mumbai, Dec 2025 : Devotees from across the country gather at Chaityabhoomi in Mumbai to pay tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on Mahaparinirvan Din. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized that all departments must work in coordination to ensure the safety and convenience of the large number of visitors. Regarding the installation of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar statue at Chaityabhoomi, various instructions have been received, and a coordination committee will be established for the purpose.

Chief Minister Fadnavis also called on everyone to strengthen the awareness imparted by Dr. Ambedkar to society and to further promote his ideas on the occasion of Mahaparinirvan Din.

In preparation for Mahaparinirvan Din, a review meeting was held today at Sahyadri Guest House under the chairmanship of CM Fadnavis. The meeting was attended by Social Justice Minister Madhuri Misal, former minister Vijay Girkar, Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal, Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, Konkan Divisional Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi, Principal Secretary & Director General of Information & Public Relations Brijesh Singh, BEST General Manager Sonia Sethi, Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti, Mumbai City Collector Anchal Goyal, other senior officials from various departments, and representatives of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Din Coordination Committee led by Secretary Nagsen Kamble.

CM Fadnavis instructed that proper mandap arrangements, drinking water facilities, and other essential services should be made available at Chaityabhoomi. Traffic police should manage vehicular movement efficiently in Dadar and surrounding areas. Signboards should be installed at various points to guide visitors, and BEST should provide additional bus services for convenient travel. He emphasized that the meeting provides valuable suggestions for improving arrangements every year and addressing any gaps.

The meeting included a detailed review of arrangements for crowd management, security, healthcare, drinking water, transportation, food, waterproof mandaps, sanitation facilities, traffic planning, flower showers, CCTV cameras, and other essential amenities.

On the occasion, CM Fadnavis also unveiled the official poster and released an informational booklet prepared for Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Din.
