Review of Nagpur’s ‘Hind Di Chadar Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur 350th Martyrdom Commemoration’ Programme – Madhuri Misal
Mumbai, Dec 2025 : To mark the 350th martyrdom commemoration of Hind Di Chadar Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, the state government is organising grand programmes in Nagpur, Navi Mumbai, and Nanded. The main event, scheduled for December 7 in Nagpur, will be attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.
Against this backdrop, Minister of State for Minority Development and Waqf, Madhuri Misal, held a review meeting regarding the various ongoing programmes, promotional activities, and arrangements in the Nagpur and Amravati divisions.
Minister Misal stated that information about the programme should be disseminated widely across villages and all sections of society through various awareness activities such as morning processions, elocution and essay competitions, and chariot rallies. As nearly three lakh devotees from across the state and the country are expected to participate, she also reviewed preparations related to accommodation, food, transportation, and security.
Rameshwar Naik, Coordinator of the State-level Committee, informed that a QR code scanner has been provided on the committee’s website and brochures, enabling visitors to directly access complete event information, directions to the venue, and updated details about available facilities.
District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar stated that 25 different committees are functioning for the event. He added that the tableau has been sent to villages and settlements across Vidarbha, and various cultural and educational events are also being organised in schools.
The meeting was attended via video conferencing by Malkeet Singh Bal, Working President of the State Punjabi Literature Academy and Chairman of the Exhibition Committee, Under Secretary Vishakha Aadhav, and District Collectors, Education Officers, District Information Officers of the Information & Public Relations Department, and nodal officers from Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Akola, Amravati, Buldhana, Yavatmal, and Washim.
