Proposal for Women’s Hostel and Old Age Home in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

December 2025 : Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, December 4: Maharashtra Housing Minister Dr. Pankaj Bhoir has directed that a proposal be submitted to the government for establishing a Working Women’s Hostel and an Old Age Home in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city, detailing the required land, facilities, and funding.

Dr. Bhoir reviewed the operations of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Board (MHADA) in the city today. The meeting was attended by Chief Officer Dattatray Navale, Deputy Chief Officer Jaykumar Namewar, Executive Engineer Sudhakar Bahegwankar, and other department heads.

Emphasizing the government’s responsibility to ensure women’s safety and dignified living for senior citizens, Dr. Bhoir stated that MHADA would receive full support from the government for these projects.

During the review, Dr. Bhoir assessed ongoing schemes, the number of completed projects, PMAY and 20% internal projects, proposed projects, available plots, buildings, shops, and unoccupied land. He also instructed strict action against contractors failing to complete projects on time.

The meeting also focused on MHADA’s revenue funds, planning maximum project implementation to boost revenue, and evaluating government land in the district that could be allocated for MHADA projects. District administration was directed to provide the necessary land for these housing projects.
