Rajnath Singh Inaugurates 125 BRO Infrastructure Projects

Leh, December, 2025:

1. Hon’ble Raksha Mantri, Shri Rajnath Singh, inaugurated 125 infrastructure projects of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) through an e-inauguration ceremony organized at D-S-DBO Road, Ladakh and dedicated them to the Nation on 07 Dec 2025. These 125 infrastructure projects constructed by BRO under the leadership of Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan, PVSM, VSM, included 28 roads, 93 Bridges and 04 miscellaneous Projects which have been strategically developed and meticulously constructed in extreme difficult and inhospitable terrain in India’s border areas across several states and Union Territories.

The ceremony was also witnessed by the Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Shri Richard Vanlalhmangaiha, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Shri K Vanlalvena and Chief Engineer, Project Pushpak (GREF) Shri Rajeev Dua from their office through a video link. The inauguration was aimed at bolstering national security and enhances connectivity in remote border areas. It is a significant event, showcasing BRO’s prowess and government’s commitment to improve infrastructure and efficient all-weather connectivity of armed forces and civilians in challenging terrains. This also emphasis India’s resolve to develop its border areas to enhance both military preparedness and economic opportunities for local people.

3. Amongst these 125 projects, Project Pushpak, located at Aizawl, contributed three projects viz  Construction of Zawlingling-Mawhre-Sapi (Z-M-S) road between km 30.00 to Km 38.150, Tuichanglui Bridge (70 mtr Span Steel Superstructure Bridge) located at Km 126.300 on Lawngtlai-Diltlang-Parva (L-D-P) road and Gausan Bridge (40 mtr Span Steel Superstructure Bridge) located at Km 130.900 on Lawngtlai-Diltlang-Parva (L-D-P) road. The upgraded road stretch and new bridges will provide year-round connectivity to remote areas. BRO officials affirmed that the timely completion of these projects reflects the organization’s continued commitment to strengthening national border infrastructure despite challenging terrain and weather conditions in the North-East. These three projects, constructed by Project Pushpak under Shri Rajeev Dua, Chief Engineer, connects the State of Mizoram to remote areas along Indo-Myanmar Border. These projects will significantly enhance the socio-economic development in this region and improve the connectivity for local population of many villages.
