Bundelkhand is land of diamonds and warriors : CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Bundelkhand is a land of diamonds and warriors, and a region known for its divine temples. He said that during the reign of Maharaja Chhatrasal, Bundelkhand witnessed great victories. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid homage to the valour of Maharaja Chhatrasal. He further informed that the statues of Maharaja Chhatrasal and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel have been unveiled in Khajuraho. The Chief Minister addressed the ‘Ladli Behna Sammelan’ organised in Rajnagar, Chhatarpur.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today, more than 1.26 crore ‘Ladli Bahanas’ have received ₹1,857 crore. This includes over 3 lakh 24 thousand ‘Ladli Bahanas’ of Chhatarpur district. ‘Ladli Bahanas’ received
₹1,500 each as the 31st installment directly into their bank accounts. He informed that under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana, a total amount of ₹46,500 crore has been transferred so far. Women are now increasingly contributing to family welfare. With the blessings of these sisters, the state government is continuously advancing development works. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, permanent houses are being provided to women, and Ujjwala gas connections are also being distributed.
For the holistic development of Bundelkhand, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed Bhoomi-Poojan for 9 development projects worth ₹270 crore and dedicated 20 completed works worth ₹240 crore. These include two Sandipani schools and several health institutions. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced the construction of a large convention centre and a five-star hotel in Khajuraho. Rajnagar is also receiving the Rajgarh Palace as a heritage addition, which will give new momentum to tourism development. Four medical colleges will be established in Damoh, Chhatarpur, Panna and Katni. The Ken–Betwa Link Project will provide adequate irrigation water to farmers of the region. He also announced that a four-lane road connecting two National Highways will soon be developed between Damoh and Sagar.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that a new industrial park will be developed in Sagar, creating employment opportunities for more than 30,000 people. During the Ladli Behna Conference, Chief Minister Dr.
Yadav also distributed benefits to beneficiaries of various government schemes.
Khajuraho MP Shri V.D. Sharma said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the all-round development of Bundelkhand. The state government delivers on every promise it makes. He said the government had resolved to deposit ₹3,000 per month into the accounts of ‘Ladli Bahanas’, and continuous steps are being taken in this direction. Rajnagar MLA Shri Arvind Pateria said that by organising a ‘Destination Cabinet’ meeting in Bundelkhand, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has given an exceptional gift to the region. Over the past two years, significant development works have been completed in Khajuraho. Today, drought-prone and backward Bundelkhand is witnessing a new identity through rapid development.
