Health Department Team Crosses Rivers and Streams on Foot to Reach Remote Villages
Health Camp Organized in Dappara Village of Sukma District
Raipur, December 2025: Under the 13th phase of the Malaria-Free Chhattisgarh Campaign, the government is fully committed to making health services accessible even in the most sensitive and remote areas of Sukma district. The Chief Medical and Health Officer of Sukma, along with his team, crossed a river and walked nearly 2 km on foot to reach remote villages and assess the ground reality of the campaign. The team visited highly sensitive villages such as Dappara in Mirivada, Atpal, and Phoolbagdi under the Gadirasa and Keralapal sectors.
Health Education Provided to School and Ashram Children
During the inspection, the team educated children in schools and ashrams about health and hygiene. Children were advised to use mosquito nets regularly, follow all malaria prevention precautions, and immediately inform health workers or visit the nearest health center if any symptoms appear.
Malnourished children at Anganwadi centers were directed to be admitted to NRC (Nutrition Rehabilitation Centers) to ensure timely comprehensive treatment and proper nutritional support.
During the inspection, when a child tested positive for malaria, the team immediately conducted a health check-up and administered the first dose of medicine, reflecting the administration’s responsibility and proactive approach.
Campaign Continues Despite Challenging Conditions
The fact that the team crossed rivers and traveled on foot to reach these villages clearly indicates that, despite difficult geographical conditions, the administration is continuously working to deliver health services to every household.
