Telangana CM Pledges Full Support for Film Studios at Bharat Future City
Hyderabad, Dec 2025 : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday assured comprehensive support for the establishment of film studios at the upcoming Bharat Future City, emphasizing that the state government is ready to provide all necessary facilities to filmmakers who come with scripts.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister interacted with prominent actors including Chiranjeevi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Genelia, Arjun Kapoor, Akkineni Amala, and filmmakers such as Allu Aravind, Suresh Babu, and Dil Raju, among others. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Minister for Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy were also present.

CM Revanth Reddy highlighted the government’s commitment to developing the film industry in Telangana, stating that all types of support would be extended to ensure smooth operations for filmmakers. He pointed out that Skills University has already been set up within Future City and urged industry stakeholders to explore opportunities to train local talent in 24 specialized crafts, catering to the diverse needs of the film sector.
Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, who participated in the event on Monday, announced plans for Annapurna Studio to be established at Future City. Similarly, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Salman Khan Ventures Pvt Ltd revealed plans to develop a Rs 10,000-crore integrated township and film studio, featuring a championship golf course, premium residential spaces, curated nature trails, high-end leisure facilities, and a race course. The development will also include a state-of-the-art film studio complex designed to handle large-format productions, OTT content, post-production, and talent development programs.
The Telangana government has also assured land and infrastructure support for a Film City proposed by Ajay Devgn Film Studio. During the session on “The Creative Century: India’s Soft Power and The Future of Entertainment,” actors Arjun Kapoor, Ritesh Deshmukh, director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and others participated in discussions highlighting the state’s entertainment potential.
Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy emphasized Hyderabad’s rapid emergence as a global entertainment hub, noting the city’s world-class infrastructure including Ramoji Film City, major VFX and gaming companies, and a diverse creative workforce. He underlined the government’s commitment to strengthening the ecosystem through incentive-based film policy reforms, international production facilitation, AVGC-XR innovation centers, and global industry collaborations.
The Minister also stressed industry welfare and sustainable development, announcing initiatives such as capital subsidies for large investments, production reimbursements for companies using local resources, and contributions from ticket pricing to a film workers’ welfare fund. He emphasized the need to balance rapid industry growth with fair working conditions.
Highlighting the future of entertainment, Venkat Reddy noted the convergence of cinema, OTT, gaming, esports, virtual production, creator economy, and immersive storytelling, observing that while technology will transform content creation, human-centered storytelling remains central.
He concluded by inviting global studios, streaming platforms, gaming companies, and investors, positioning Hyderabad as the gateway to the Indian entertainment market, and India as a gateway to global audiences.
