He also appealed to people to stop using single-use plastic to protect the environment.

The Chief Minister was addressing the state-level cleanliness awareness and shramdaan (voluntary labour) programme organised at the embankment of Jal Mahal on Sunday. He said that Jal Mahal is part of Rajasthan’s glorious cultural heritage, and it is the duty of every responsible citizen to keep heritage sites and public places clean. In two years, over 92,000 youths have been given government jobs, with appointment letters for more than 20,000 to be issued soon, while recruitment for over 1.53 lakh posts is underway. He said that while several paper leaks occurred during the previous government’s tenure, not a single paper leak has happened under the present government, which has also taken strict action against corruption.

Uninterrupted Power Supply and Support for Street Vendors

Shri Sharma said the government is prioritising basic needs like electricity and water through projects such as the Ramjal Setu Link, Yamuna water agreement, and Devas, Mahi Dam and Som-Kamla-Ambha projects. He added that farmers, domestic consumers and industries are being provided uninterrupted power supply, with daytime electricity now available to farmers in 22 districts.

He also said the PM SVANidhi scheme has empowered street vendors by providing them new hope, direction and energy, making them financially self-reliant.
