Administration Must Function in a Citizen-Centric and Transparent Manner – Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, December 2025: Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal has directed that while implementing various welfare schemes of the government, the administration must work in a citizen-centric and transparent manner to ensure that the benefits effectively reach the intended beneficiaries.
A review meeting of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division was held in the departmental commissioner’s office auditorium under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal. Departmental Commissioner Jitendra Papalkar, the district collectors of all eight districts in the division, chief executive officers of district councils, and senior officials from various departments were also present.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary reviewed detailed information regarding various government schemes being implemented in each district. He instructed officials to promptly address any challenges arising during the implementation of schemes to expedite progress. He emphasized that citizens should be provided information about schemes in a simple, accessible, and local-language format, and their issues should be understood and resolved without delay.
The Chief Secretary stressed that for effective implementation of schemes, officials from different departments must coordinate closely. He highlighted the need to foster a sense of positivity about the administration among the general public.
He further underlined that to ensure government schemes reach citizens directly, the administration must work in a coordinated manner. Pending cases should be resolved promptly, and transparency and efficiency are critical while delivering services.
While reviewing the work of the Revenue Department, detailed discussions were held regarding land-related issues, matters arising due to natural disasters, and making government services more accessible and transparent. The Chief Secretary also conducted an in-depth review of major infrastructure projects, projects pending due to departmental approvals, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), the Chief Minister’s Agricultural Solar Scheme, rural industrial development, and the buying-selling transactions under the Seventh Schedule.
Departmental Commissioner Jitendra Papalkar provided a detailed update on the current status of various government schemes being implemented in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division, their progress in implementation, and future planning.
Officials from the relevant departments were present during the meeting.
