Development gifts announced, including a new college at Lalpur

Government fully committed to procuring paddy from every eligible farmer

Raipur, December 2025 : Chhattisgarh can become a developed state only by following the path of truth, equality and humanity shown by Baba Guru Ghasidas. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that his government is continuously working with commitment to build an equal, just and prosperous Chhattisgarh in line with the ideals and dreams of great personalities. He was addressing the Guru Ghasidas Jayanti and three-day fair organised at Lalpur in Mungeli district today.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of a new college in Lalpur; increase in financial assistance for the fair and event organisation from ₹10 lakh to ₹15 lakh; allocation of ₹25 lakh for the construction of an entrance gate at the venue; and approval of ₹25 lakh for renovation of the Mungeli Satnam Bhavan.

At the beginning of the programme, Chief Minister Sai performed rituals and offered prayers at the Baba Guru Ghasidas temple and Jaitkham, seeking blessings for the happiness, prosperity and welfare of the state.

The Chief Minister said that during the two years of the government, most of the guarantees given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been fulfilled. He informed that approval has been granted for 18 lakh houses in the state so far. He reiterated that the government is fully committed to purchasing paddy from every eligible farmer.

Speaking about agriculture, the Chief Minister said that in the past two years there has been a significant increase in the paddy cultivation area as well as the number of farmers. He added that 70 lakh women in the state are being benefitted under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Transparency is being ensured in the PAC selection process. He said a new industrial policy has been implemented in the state to enable every son and daughter of society to become an entrepreneur. He called for collective support in building a developed Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, the Satnam code of conduct and awareness calendar were also released.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that the Scheduled Caste Authority has been strengthened and its budget increased from ₹50 crore to ₹75 crore. Cabinet Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, inclusive development is taking place for all communities in the state. He added that the government’s decision to provide ₹15 lakh each to five talented youths from the Scheduled community for pilot training reflects its visionary approach.

Food Minister Dayal Das Baghel, MLA Doman Lal Korsevada, former MLA Sanam Jangde, District Panchayat President Shrikant Pandey, Vice President Shanti Devcharan Bhaskar, Janpad President of Lormi Varsha Vikram Singh, Nagar Panchayat President Sujit Verma, along with many public representatives, dignitaries and a large gathering of Satnami community members were present.
