Chief Minister Sai attends Guru Ghasidas Jayanti and Guru Parv programme at Satnam Bhavan, Sector-6, Bhilai

Announcement of ₹50 lakh for dome construction at Satnam Bhavan and ₹10 lakh annually for Guru Ghasidas Jayanti celebrations

Raipur, December 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today attended the 269th birth anniversary and Guru Parv celebration of Baba Guru Ghasidas at Satnam Bhavan, located in Sector-6, Bhilai in Durg district. On this occasion, the Chief Minister visited the sacred Guru seat of Baba Guru Ghasidas in the Satnam Bhavan, performed rituals and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and welfare of the people of the state.

Technical Education, Employment, Skill Development and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb; School Education, Village Industries, Law and Legislative Affairs Minister Gajendra Yadav; Vice President of Scheduled Caste Development Authority and MLA Doman Lal Korasewada; and MLA Rikesh Sen were present at the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that in the 18th century, when discrimination, untouchability and inequality were widespread in society, Baba Guru Ghasidas gave a new direction to humanity through the great message: “Man is equal to man.” The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government is continuously working for the welfare of every section of society inspired by the ideals and teachings of Baba Guru Ghasidas.

He said that in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” the state government is committed to ensuring the light of development reaches the last person in society. He highlighted that government schemes, including Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana, Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana, and procurement of paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal, are directly benefiting farmers and common people.

The Chief Minister said that the Scheduled Caste Development Authority has been formed to ensure holistic development, and MLA Doman Lal Korasewada has been appointed as its Vice President. A budget provision of ₹75 crore has been made through the authority. He said the government is providing financial assistance of up to ₹15 lakh to help young men and women of the community pursue higher education.

Chief Minister Sai stressed that education is the foundation of development. To achieve this goal, Nalanda campuses are being established at district headquarters so children of the state can receive quality education and secure higher positions. Expressing concern over substance abuse in society, he emphasised the need to take strict measures against it.

Speaking on employment, he said a new industrial policy has been implemented to eradicate unemployment and provide employment opportunities to youth. Under this policy, investment proposals worth nearly ₹8 lakh crore have been received so far. He urged society to promote education and progress on the path of equality, harmony and development.

Responding to the demands of the Guru Ghasidas Seva Samiti, the Chief Minister announced ₹50 lakh for dome construction at Satnam Bhavan, Sector-6, Bhilai and ₹10 lakh annually for Guru Ghasidas Jayanti celebrations.

Technical Education and Employment Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb said that if Baba Guru Ghasidas’ vision of “Man is equal to man” is truly adopted in life, all social evils will come to an end. He urged followers of the Satnam path to maintain purity in food habits and conduct.

School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav, in his brief address, encouraged people to imbibe the values and teachings of Baba Guru Ghasidas in daily life. Vice President of the Scheduled Caste Development Authority and MLA Doman Lal Korasewada also addressed the programme.

Former MLA Sanwla Ram Dahare; President of Guru Ghasidas Seva Samiti Bharat Lal Kurre; Vice President Urmila Bhaskar; other committee members; District Panchayat President Saraswati Banjare; many public representatives; devotees and citizens attended the programme in large numbers.
