Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai Grants Historic Development Package Worth ₹107.32 Crore for Kunkuri Town

Two Years of Good Governance Transform Kunkuri: A New Chapter of Development

Raipur, 22 December 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has granted a historic development package of ₹107 crore 32 lakh to Kunkuri town.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, a new pace of development has been witnessed during two years of good governance in the state. Continuing this initiative, Chief Minister Sai has approved various development projects worth ₹107 crore 32 lakh for the Kunkuri Nagar Panchayat area in Jashpur district, giving the town a historic gift. These projects will bring extensive and long-term improvements in the town’s basic infrastructure, health, education, sports, tourism, transportation, and civic amenities.

For providing modern sports facilities to the youth of Kunkuri, the construction of an Integrated Sports Complex at a cost of ₹63 crore 84 lakh has been approved. This complex will prove to be a milestone in enhancing the sporting talent of local youth.

Chief Minister Sai has fulfilled his promise to the public by approving ₹5 crore for 53 development works within the Nagar Panchayat area. These works will strengthen basic facilities across various wards and localities of the town and significantly improve the quality of civic services.

In the field of health, a major development has been approved with the sanction of ₹2 crore 62 lakh for the construction of a Naturopathy Building. This will promote naturopathy, Ayurveda, and yoga, and provide better alternative healthcare services to citizens.

To strengthen tourism and religious faith, ₹5 crore 17 lakh has been approved for the comprehensive development of the Chhath Ghat. The beautification and development of the ghat will boost local tourism and enhance economic activities.

For cultural and social activities, an advanced Multipurpose Auditorium will be constructed at a cost of ₹6 crore 67 lakh. This will provide a new platform for art, culture, and community events.

To reinforce the education sector, ₹4 crore 37 lakh has been approved for expanding the Nalanda campus with a 250-seater facility, which will provide students with an improved academic environment.

To streamline and improve transportation in the town, ₹7 crore 26 lakh has been approved for the construction of a high-tech bus stand. This will provide modern passenger facilities and strengthen traffic management. Additionally, a Recreation Children’s Park will be built at a cost of ₹1 crore 2 lakh for safe play and entertainment for children.

A sum of ₹6 crore has also been allocated for LED street lighting and other development works across Wards 1 to 15, ensuring better illumination and safety in the town.

Through these projects, Kunkuri is rapidly emerging as an ideal town with smart facilities, better healthcare, strengthened education, modern transportation, and enriched cultural activities. Under the good governance of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Kunkuri is becoming a new example of development, trust, and future progress.
